Have you ever been late for a concert arriving just as the band finishes their first number? Well, that’s what this recording is like with the final doom-laden bar of Coda Marine 475 being all that survives of that number in Cleveland. That's the bad news. The good news the rest of the gig is all present and correct.

“Hello! This looks like the setting for a Pink Floyd show or am I at the wrong gig?,” quips Belew referring to the outdoor venue’s industrial aspect situated in an area locally known as the flats near Lake Erie. Impressive vistas aside, the hazards of performing in the open air are neatly expressed a moment later when Adrian, now off-mic, laughs, “Guitar’s gonna go out of tune all night long.”

Regardless of his worries the band reel off energetic versions of Frame By Frame, Dinosaur, and Red without incident and enter into a radically different sonic arena via B’Boom and an especially spacious THRAK wherein discrete collisions of sound, noise and music jostle and joust for position.

And about missing that opening Marine Coda 475 at the start of the concert? Don’t worry, here it comes again near the end of a show where the Crims are firing on all cylinders.
