Found only recently on an archive hard drive by Mr Alex Stormy Mundy. Written and finalised on New Years' Eve 1999, Belew initially intended the piece to act as an acoustic introduction to the instrumental LTIA Pt IV, partially as a momentary respite to what was felt to be a dense, heavy sonic landscape. When the band reconvened to finish the album in early February 2000, Fripp added strings to the piece. Ultimately this version was abandoned in favour of the band playing the tune with Belew singing at the end of LTIA Pt IV. Although Adrian has previously issued his solo acoustic rendition of the song, this is the first time the duet version has been publicly heard, offering a glimpse into an alternative Crimverse.
