2017 was the last time King Crimson played the Greek. Back then LTIA opened the second set of the evening but tonight it’s the second number after the Drumson’s introductory salvo. Mel Collins’ rendition of Tequila goes down especially well with the packed crowd in a rare instance of audience participation. Who says ‘humour is not permitted’?

The evening could not have been better; great weather, good food and drink, excellent vibe and AMAZING music. These men are cut from a different cloth. True professionals and experts of their craft. My wife and I enjoyed this show very much. Pat was great about losing a stick during Indiscipline.

A Special Place and Time
Excellent recording on this track. I was able to be in the 5th row center for this. Last time I sat in such a position to stage was in 1992 for Pete Townshend solo at Wiltern in Los Angeles. The seating was part of the Celebration Package. A real treat all around with band members joining in before the show. The show was amazing. Being so close we all were able to see the fun and games with interplay between band members. I enjoyed the show at Greek in 2017 being a bit further back just a...

Being so close we all were able to see the fun and games with interplay between band members. I enjoyed the show at Greek in 2017 being a bit further back just as well. Just a different experience. Both wonderful. The Crim played well and only a couple of audience members were seen acting up with flash and recording equipment. In 2017 there was dozens of them doing this-so much better this time. Easter Sunday a few years back for David Gilmour was ruined by well drunk ticket holders holding out iPads and large smart phones during show. Anyway, the Crim and their entire tour family are a class act. The music and the evening interpretation of the muse was magic. Cheers.

First KC show
This was my first ever Crim show, and a life-changing experience. I don't think I've felt so immersed in the music since I was a teenager, staying up all night playing my cheap stereo and driving my family insane. It was a magical, warm summer night in Griffith Park. The Greek is a perfect place to hear such a "sonically complex" band, and the sound was great. There are many moments I could rave about, but my favorite was probably the coda on ITCOTCK. I don't think I ever heard a live recording ...

There are many moments I could rave about, but my favorite was probably the coda on ITCOTCK. I don't think I ever heard a live recording of an unabridged version of the song, so this was a very pleasant surprise. (Also, for the first time in my concert-going experience: a mile-long line to the men's room, and no one at the ladies' - sweet.) Thank you Crims, and please come back soon!

LA Greek- first KC show in many years
Well in February I saw that KC was going to play 50 shows for 50 years. I live in Portland Oregon and KC has only played once in my town as far as I know. If before 1977 I was most likely to young to go and did not know that they played.
Late one night when I saw that there were LA and Oakland shows I said to myself- why don't I go? Well- I bought 2 tickets to the Greek in LA and 2 for each night in Oakland. I figured I can find a friend who would go with me. We arrived onsite at the Greek and...

Late one night when I saw that there were LA and Oakland shows I said to myself- why don't I go? Well- I bought 2 tickets to the Greek in LA and 2 for each night in Oakland. I figured I can find a friend who would go with me. We arrived onsite at the Greek and were surprised to see that the California guitar trio was going to open. WOW- I did not know that. They were great
then the Larks 1 appeared as the opener. Super great! I Can't say enough how this concert just delivered me back to why I love this band so much. Fripp puts the right people together to just blow our minds. I just got spell checked for "Fripp" I added to my dictionary. Having never seen the Triple drummer assult live before I was blown away. Red, Cat food, Easy Money and as I hoped to hear Starless in all its awesomeness. Off to Oakland!!!
