Valentines Albany USA
Fast ConstruKction certainly lives up to its name as our intrepid trio take to the stage and burn it up.

Trey notes the venue was intimate in the extreme “There was over 450 people crammed into this small room; and I mean crammed. It was so hot on stage that we were sweating like fat hogs. I mean, dripping sweat. I didn't even bother wiping off my strings in the break, because they was slimy beyond repair.”

Gunn is spot on about the temperature of the venue which might also be said to apply to this gig. Belew is really on form during a blazing Sus_tayn_Z, constantly driving the music forward, beaming encouragement as his band mates reach out and go for it. Similarly Heavy ConstruKction hurtles along at such a speed with Gunn and Fripp constantly scrabbling against the sides, expending astonishing reserves just to keep up. Gunn’s biting solo in the first few minutes once again shows him to be one the most dramatic and effective soloists that has ever passed through the Crimson court.

There’s a fantastic element of tension accrued during back-and-forth antics of X_Chanyn_Jiz. The thrakking pianos in many respects sound ungainly yet they achieve an austere grace as the chords are dashed aloft as though part of some titanic juggling act.
