We have had various messages (such as appeared on the guestbook today) that shows such as The Greek in Los Angeles are sold out - or only have expensive tickets left. While tickets are indeed selling well, this is not true - there are still seats in all areas available.
It is a common misconception (certainly one I had) that the various ticket outlets "talk to each other" and offer roughly the same selection. That is not the case. A selection of tickets are apparently assigned to each seller. So a shows can be "sold out" at one online seller, while another still has plenty of tickets.
So don't believe the first "sold out" that you see - try, try, try again!
Ticketmaster also apparently had a glitch in their systems for about five hours on Friday, which may have caused some of the "sold out" errors - hopefully there is a "Demand for King Crimson melts Ticketmaster servers" story in the offing.
