NOT SO MUCH A CALLING CARD AS A BRICK THROUGH YOUR WINDOW

On this day 12 years ago The Double Trio began recording the ep Vrooom.  Essentially a bargaining chip with which to buy the newly reformed and reconfigured Crimson some time ahead of a proper album, Vrooom was shockingly new when it first hit the streets.

An incredibly intense collection, it provided the roadmap for Crimson as it went off to Argentina and eventually all around the world with Thrak.

How well do people think it stands up now compared to Thrak?  Is When I Say Stop Continue a load of aimless bollocks or a fascinating exercise in group dynamics?  Does the version of Vrooom knock the one on Thrak into a cocked hat?

We want to know. Let’s have your thoughts on Vrooom the ep!

You can check out my own feelings about what this small but perfectly formed disc represents to me over on my blog.
