No-Man have finished recording and mixing their latest record, Schoolyard Ghosts. It’s the sixth official studio album by Tim Bowness and Porcupine Tree’s Steve Wilson and features contributions from both Pat Mastelotto and Gavin Harrison, as well Fripp-collaborator Theo Travis. As if that wasn’t enough to get you revved up the strings are orchestrated by legendary Egg/Hatfield And The North keyboardist, Dave Stewart.

There's a fabbo new website dedicated to the album where you’ll find all the details.

Our friends over at Burning Shed have also supplied us with a few copies of their third recently released sampler album cunningly entitled, Sampler 3. There’s an impressive array of talent on the album including Tim Bowness, Andrew Keeling, Theo Travis, Hugh Hopper, Roger Eno and a whole lot more. If you’d like to get a copy send an email to competitions@dgmlive.com marked Sampler 3 (otherwise you’ll be spammed) and don’t forget to include your postal address in the message. The winner will be announced on Sunday 23rd March. You can head over to Burning Shed’s page for details of the sampler and if you feel so inclined you can read my take on it over on the blog.
