A SUMMER AFTERNOON IN WIESBADEN
Posted by Mariana Scaravilli on Sep 23, 2024

Here is another result of Alex Mundy's tireless rummaging in the depths of the Crimson vault. He’s emerged with a performance from the 5th Golden Summernight Concert in Wiesbaden, Germany (September 4th, 1982). A festival bill, King Crimson appeared after opening acts Melanie and Michael Schenker’s Group and then left the stage to welcome Jethro Tull and several other bands culminating in headliner, Neil Young.

From Sid Smith's notes: In some respects, it’s possible to view this show as a KC primer, a smart guide to the unusual sonic topography of the band.
