Sailors Tale Box Set
Greetings! It appears the Sailors Tale box set is currently unavailable from online retailers. Is this a temporary situation, or is the title officially out of print? I’m hoping there’s an alternative to the rapacious prices demanded by sellers on eBay. Apologies if this question is addressed elsewhere on the DGM site.

Alex Mundy replied:

Dear Robert, Sadly the Sailors Tale boxset is now out of print.

Peter Sinfield RIP
Sad news about Peter Sinfield, without whom we’d not have had a band named King Crimson. Crucial to the first few years of the band. And a vital cog launching Roxy Music by producing their first album. Sleep well Peter.

Thanks and a question
I wanted to throw a thank you for all the work you do with this forum. It's not said often enough. Now I hope no one has ever asked this (it would mean I missed it), but is Alex Mundy your actual name? I ask because whenever I see it I think of the main character (Alexander Mundy) in the old TV series "It Takes a Thief", which starred Robert Wagner. Cheers.

Alex Mundy replied:

Dear Robert, My name is indeed Alex Mundy (with R in the middle, Rene) The tag Stormy, comes from my association with playing in a blues band, and the song Stormy Monday, by T-Bone Walker.

Reply to Scot
Dear Scot, Sadly, as the file has already been uploaded, and the performance is live, I really can't take it down and re-upload in two sections, as this would effect all of the people who have already purchased this downloaded.

Large File!
Can Tuning the Air be split into two tracks? At over 80 minutes, it's too large to fit onto a CD. Sorry, I'm old school that way. Thanks!

Very enjoyable
I really enjoyed listening to this version. Alex, keep rummaging around, you will never know what you will find or create. Great job, as always.

NICE TO HEAR THIS
Wow always dreamed what the early jams must have sounded like! Very interesting half hour. Sensing a little Talking drum in the middle there.

A Reply to Stuart Macniven
Dear Stuart, Not true. Eddie Jobson's only KC connection was as a session player on USA. "The session was completed in a couple of hours and Wetton recalls that Fripp and the violinist got off to a bad start …..” etc, an extract from Sid Smiths book. There’s also mention of David Cross in Robert's diary in the limo going to the gig.

Eddie Jobson
Eddie Jobson was filling in that night for David Cross. Should be credited as such.
