Gerald lived in the Coach House of Sherborne House during the five IACE courses (1971-76) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_G._Bennett#International_Academy_for_Continuous_Education. During my time there, on Sherborne V (1975-76), I found him a terrifying figure. Stories to be told, perhaps on another occasion.
