Boston.

Some hotel rooms are ok, some good, some wretched. In Boston I have lucked out. This is an acceptable hotel, and on the executive floors, most acceptable. This has a cd player - hooray! I have been missing music - and reproduction furniture quite acceptable to an Anglo abroad. And, missing Toyah terribly, terribly I have used the top of a bureau (which houses a tv) to put up a picture of the Little Horse against an oriental vase, light a candle in front of it to acknowledge our marriage & declare my love, put out the Hello magazine, spread with fabbo pictures of us at home in Deepest Dorset, and a picture of Sister & myself in Nashville last January.

Grumpy Ludwig is soothing my spirits & reminding me that there is hope & possibility even far from home.

Yesterday afternoon, arriving here, I needed this room.

Loew's Vogue, Montreal.

I have just downgraded my room, from the complimentary upgrade to a suite, to a most acceptable single room. The suite was too large, dark & feng-unfriendly. Now, I am a happier boy. A candle burns under Toyah's photograph, "Law And Order" is about to begin, and my guitar is on the bed ready to be practised while watching the latest adventures of law enforcement & prosecution in the city.

The band had an official group meeting at 17.00 to address a key decision which needs to be taken urgently & which will affect the future of KC & DGM.
