Morning Sitting in the Study.
Morning reading and writing…

Morning listening: Morton Feldman and Iannis Xenakis.

Reflecting: on future writing.

The final draft of The Guitar Circle is in the hands of editors Mariana and Jaxie with a planned publication date of November 2020. The original intention was to have this available for the Introduction To The Guitar Circle https://robertfrippsguitarcircle.com/ in October 2020, now postponed to August 16-20, 2021 on Long Island. This has been a primary focus for me in recent weeks and days, with exemplary support from editors Mariana and Jaxie. So, few diary entries and less time in the garden.

12.25        To the Cellar and guitar, small amplifier, and small playback. Now off to Studio Darlow.

17.54       Arriving c. 13.30 and contributions to the new Miniatures collection, based on the original by Morgan Fisher http://www.morgan-fisher.com/discogpages_e/miniatures.html.

One hour later, a one-minute miniature: Future Dreaming. Written and performed by Toyah, Simon and Bobby Willcox…

Good pals Simon and Anne, the Cruicklow Darshanks, are in our social pod. Toyah has been working with Simon since she moved to London in 1977. Simon also played on Toyah’s The Changeling https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Changeling_(album). Perhaps a little known factoid: Simon was one of the writers of Slave To The Rhythm https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slave_to_the_Rhythm_(Grace_Jones_song) and Toyah sang on the original demo, since lost.

18.29 Home c. 16.30 and to the overload. I have to get away from the inbox. To the Cellar.

19.15 Enough.
