18.49 A visit to Don Hardyman, returning c.18.20. Almost every time I arrive at the DGM Parking Lot, our landlord Butcher Fry appears for forms of conversing with the primary aim of setting the world to rights, usually featuring a story of Les Collins. Les’ strategies for correcting wrongdoing were mostly straightforward, direct and uncompromised by long reflection; and when words were useful, conveyed in a deep local dialect.
