Chez Horse Chiswick A morning

23.14

Chez Horse, Chiswick.

A morning of stuff & then to London this afternoon for tea with Greg Dean, KC’s FOH sound mixer & currently production manager for Green Day. Green Day are in the UK for various events & I took advantage of this to touch base with Greg Greg; and pump down cheesecake & cappuccino in their fashionable, new Soho hotel, one favoured by media & cinema persons for meetings.

Greg unexpectedly pulled an invite out of his pocket for this evening’s premier of Green Day’s new DVD Bullet in a Bible (compiled from two live performances filmed in Milton Keynes’ National Bowl in June 2005) at a cinema in Leicester Square this evening. I had known nothing of this, but took the ticket & went to dinner with T & her pals (via Watkins Emporium of Esoteric & Occult Bibliophiliacal Tumescence) to Restaurant El Posho nearby on St. Martin’s Lane.

Dinner with T was itself coincident of me being in London to meet Greg & her in town to attend the premier of In Her Shoes with Cameron Diaz & Toni Collette – in the adjoining cinema to Green Day’s! So, we left the restaurant and walked to Leicester Square & our adjoining cinemas. I met up with Greg & the Green Day road team & T found herself sitting next to Cherie Blair (and her security team).

Bullet in a Bible rocked me out. Most impressed. A fabbo evening.

Then meeting T & back to Chez Horse, clasping books from Watkins & two stacks of CDs from Greg – FOH recordings of KC Live In 2003 – for the DGM archive.
