Rising at 06.30, driving to
Chiswick, tubing to the Oval, then a hefty walk to Peckham Registry
Office for the wedding of John & Haruko. It was a privilege to be
invited to J&W’s wedding.
Then a bus into central London
(it turned right rather than continuing straight on – how should I
know?), tasty lunch in restaurant El Posho on St. Martin’s Lane (a rare
excitement for me & rather pushing the envelope), a bibliophiliacal
tumescence at Watkins (not so rare an excitement), a tube to Chiswick,
a drive home.
