Strange to tell - but my fingers are trembing slightly. This new website has been a well kept secret for the better part of a year - and yet now, here I am typing a diary into a brand new world.
My thanks to all those who have worked so hard to make it happen. To Iona, who insisted that a new website was needed, and convinced me (wrongly) that it would not need a huge amount of ctreative energy to make it happen. To Ben, for his faultless design work. To Mike and Ajay at Fabric for their expertise. To Robert, for his trust. And to Steve Ball and all those at BootlegTV, as this website finally delivers on many of the ideas that we first dreamed 16 years ago. In fact, the template for the Timeline, which will over the coming weeks become filled with historical goodies, was first shown to me by Steve Ball in 1999. This really has been a long and circuitous journey.
And it is, of course, not over. This website is mostly empty rooms filled with the promise of glories yet to come. This is not exactly a "beta website" - but nor is it yet everything that it should be. And that is without the glitches we have yet to uncover.
But it is exciting. A whole new future beckons. Welcome aboard!
