We have now reached the penultimate night on the Fripp/Singleton tour from last year.
I struggle to recall much about the venue - but I do recall the remarks that the person asking the two cheeky questions in the video made before asking his questions. He was a music teacher, I believe, who used Kanye West's "Power" as a way to interest his students in King Crimson - and, following on from a previous question about the efforts we were making to reach out to new audiences - potentially a more diverse one - he remarked that we were in one of the most racially segregated cities in the US. He pointed out that he received two local TV stations, from two different areas - the news on one would be about the latest shootings and deaths. The news on the other would be about the winner of the best pumpkin competition. I may not have recalled his comment exactly, but that was the gist.
I don't know if Milwaukee deserves such opprobium. No doubt someone will let me know.
That sets the scene. And then he asked the question below:
"Distrust those who profess altruism."
