Written by davidfsnyder

What I appreciate most about this is the opportunity to hear several shows in a row, an opportunity to hear the effect of repeated performance on a group and their music. By the time the boys hit Keswick, I hear a real flowering of (for lack of better word in my vocabulary) confidence in the areas they chose to visit, as well as widened openings for creative surprises. There are a lot of subtleties to catch, so the ability to revisit this as recorded work is greatly appreciated. And I find this music healing. I particularly was touched by the thematic change offered by End Time.

Many thanks for releasing this material so promptly; this would never happen with the major companies.

Nondistorted groovy grooves   Mon., Sep 13, 2010
Posted by: DeVito
I’m puzzled by the previous reviewer’s complaint of "distortion in the drum beats" -- I don’t hear any distortion through my speakers (headphones either). Maybe the reviewer’s speakers were blown, or he just isn’t used to the sound of Read more

Distortion ruins these grooves   Tue., Sep 25, 2007

The grooves here are spectacular.  What I don’t get about the sound is the distortion in the drum beats, it sounds like some kind of digital clipping.  It’s worst in the Boston gig, but it’s also in the Read more

Soundscapes meets Crimson in P6   Tue., Jan 23, 2007

This is definitely a classic DGMLive download.  P6 really sounds like a refined blend of Crimson and the Soundscapes, and it’s a wonderful blend at that. Adrian lays a great improvised foundation while Fripp covers the lines with some familiar Read more

P6   Fri., Dec 15, 2006

The thing that interests me regarding this release is that it parallels the recent playing of RF on the newest Fripp & Eno releases as well as his solo ventures.  This is a more textural, relaxed Fripp as opposed to the Read more

I recently purchased the P6 East Coast Live download and have been absolutely enthralled with the improvisations on this fine CD. The more that I listen to the playing of both Robert and Ade, the more I hear the Read more
