     I was there! November 2, 2011

I was at this performance - still have my ticket stub! I also recorded part of this show on a microcassette player in my shirt pocket, but I was right up front and didn’t want to make a scene flipping the tape, so I only got about 30 minutes on my tape. I am so glad this full recording is available, and the quality is quite good - well worth $10 - rather ironic since the ticket for the show was only $6.50. It’s great to re-experience this performance 28 years later! I had seen King Crimson at Toad’s the previous year, and it remains a highlight of many excellent shows I saw at this venue during the 1980s!

I HEARD THE WHOLE THING AND HAD TO MAKE ANOTHER COMENT.
This is a great example of the transition between the early to mid frippertronics i hear robert creating sounds that i later hear on beat and three of a perfect pair ..
I hope to hear more of these early soundscape recordings.

Wonderful to see this event available; a clear window to a point in time. I’m the "gentleman with the glasses" who asked the final question that led to the response about Robert’s trip to Brussels. What’s not captured on tape is the woman who was standing behind me berating me for asking such a question. Highly recommended to any Frippertronics enthusiast.

This show was my first time seeing RF in a solo situation as well as my first time @ Toad’s Place. A great audience. I recall walking in to see RF already on stage, setting up loops is my guess. A very courteous crowd pretty much left him to his devices (literally). No smoking & no drinking 1 hour before the performance were requested. Oh, how I miss those days! Very interesting music, speech & Q&A session made this a lovely night that I remember with nothing but smiles. 25 years later, is it too late to say thank you?

Spring has arrived... a new batch of pling-plong loops to accompany this... excellent!
