Somewhere An Orchestra Beckons March 22, 2006
Written by barrystock
A dark one, brooding and sad, that stings the heart. A real orchestra is tuning up, somewhere in the future, to play this music with nimble hands and controlled breaths.

P.S. Dear The Vicar,
I have many personalities, hence many listeners are available, but sadly they share only one pocketbook between them.
Happy Birthday March 21, 2006

Today at the Vicarage : The Vicarage
Unfortunately, I cannot be with the Tall Pointy One today to celebrate his birthday, but I am sure a long-suffering wife, and four middle-sized beasts are sufficient company.
He has just posted “Childhood Days” to the website - as sung by David Scott from the Pearlfishers, recorded on an eventful day last week in Glasgow. As I understand it (and I am now passing on second hand gossip, you understand), David One landed at eight am on a snowy Monday morning – only for David Two’s car to break down on the short journey to his studio – leading to a two hour “get to know each other session” in the car, while waiting for the RAC (who ultimately proved unnecessary, as before they arrived, a passer-by suggested a solution, which cured the problem). I shall let the listeners (the plural may be optimistic) decide if this unplanned stop improved the recording.
Meanwhile, we have a single daffodil in bloom outside my window. Joy of joy.
