Cleaning goes on around Purgatory. Suitcases waiting to go…
The Minx is in London filming for tv with Trevor Horn. Here, e-flurrying to a respected correspondent, enquiring after current status of The Writing Project…
a wave from a hot, modest facility in MA where the GC course completed last night. lotsa cleaning underway in the house & i'm off at noon for logan. home tomorrow c. 10.00 - yippee!... writing project continues, and developed during this course. much of my creative life is prejudiced by likely litigation with UMG. many violations, not enough to prejudice my life anymore, but enough to be a professional concern. and since they have no interest in settling or dealing with 19 years late royalty payments and illegal downloads, we accept that or do something. there was a meeting in london this morning on that.
and please, your pestiness is gratefully accepted and encouraged.
Let The Power Fall:… what it leaves out, is that none of it works when facing active ill-will, as with eg EG, or UMG. or probably any institution which is run to favour the interests of those who are running the institution. which leads me to the conclusion that little is possible for the little sort within the current model. a personal example: the end of a career in the front line.
My respected correspondent and reading advisor is referring to the sleeve of the Frippertronics album of that name…
Let The Power Fall.
I
i) One can work within any structure. ii) Once one can work within any structure, some structures are more efficient than others. iii) There is no one structure which is universally appropriate. iv) Commitment to an aim within an inappropriate structure will give rise to the creation of an appropriate structure. v) Apathy, ie passive commitment, within an appropriate structure will effect its collapse. vi) Dogmatic attachment to the supposed merits of a particular structure hinders the search for an appropriate structure. vii) There will be difficulty defining the appropriate structure because it will always be mobile, ie in process.
II
i) There should be no difficulty in defining aim. ii) The appropriate structure will recognise structures outside itself. iii) The appropriate structure can work within any large structure iv) Once the appropriate structure can work within any large structure, some larger structures are more efficient than others. v) There is no larger structure which is universally appropriate. vi) Commitment to an aim by an appropriate structure within a larger, inappropriate structure Will give rise to a large, appropriate structure. vii) The quantitative structure is affected by qualitative action.
III
i) Qualitative action is not bound by number. ii) Any small unit committed to qualitative action can affect radical change on a scale outside its quantitative measure. iii) Quantitative action works by violence and breeds reaction. iv) Qualitative action works by example and invites reciprocation. v) Reciprocation between independent structures is a framework of interacting units which is itself a structure. vi) Any appropriate structure of interacting units can work within any other structure of interacting units. vii) Once this is so, some structures of interacting units are more efficient than others.
10.23 Excellent housework underway to return the facility to a beginning-point, one to which we would like to arrive next time. Conventionally in GC undertakings, this is at a higher standard than we find when we arrive.
An un-fisting has just reverberated through the floorboards from the dining room. I take this as a sonic sign from the Cleaning Team that the cleaning is completed.
11.05 Car doors slam. A vacuum cleaner falls quiet. Bags to close.
A meeting with a person from the community at 11.30. Noon call for Elan to take me to the airport.

The personal meeting with the Work Person did not happen. They did not arrive, neither did a message. Somehow I feel that I a GC context, this situation would have been otherwise.
Into the ElanMobile at 11.55…
… and a good driving-to-the-airport conversation with Elan, covering a range of issues: including emotional reactions in musicians that prejudice themselves, others and the project they are engaging within; Bright Ideas being dumped on people with subsequent detrimental effects; and the power in acceptance and goodwill.

17.12 Lufthansa Star Alliance Gold Club.
Punctually checking-in, through security and here on the other side, I didn’t know there was a lounge that would let me in. But here we are. Hooray! This makes for a happier journeying.
Boarding c. 18.30.
20.45 BA 212 Boston>London.
Two open seats next to me, a shortish-flight and I am going home. Fripp is a happy boy!
