20.47 Bredonborough. A day at home with the Luvvie. The weather has been mixed and a fox has been in - again. This morning we walked down the garden and found the body of a duck, mostly eaten, with its head 15 feet away. T told me the fox had visited six weeks ago and killed the pheasants & ducks that had come in from the water-meadows opposite to nest. These were not domesticated, but had become accustomed to us much as we had to them. On the UK Food channel today: a Celebrity Ready Steady Cook with Toyah as a guest celebrity, filmed two years ago. As Michael Legg says: you can never break out of your circle. Others might call it Six Degrees Of Separation/Connection. Or less. One of the chefs on the programme was Lesley Waters. On this show, two years ago, Toyah mentioned to her that we were living in Deepest Dorset at Evershot. Lesley replied that she was living with her family in rented accommodation two miles up the road. Not long afterwards, Lesley bought our house from us when we moved to Bredonborough. The other chef was Antony Worrall Thompson who, two years later, was in the Australian jungle with Toyah. One smaller small connection - the other celebrity cook was Midge Ure, whose album I played on in Los Angeles a few years ago. Toyah inspected Fripp World HQ. She approves. Then a walk around the town. A gentle day at home. How wonderful.
