06.51

Purgatory, Camp Caravan, Royalston, Massachusetts.

Rising at 05.40. This is the quietest day in Purgatory since I have arrived. Perhaps because Beginners are running the kitchen, there is no bathroom action above my head, action that accompanies the Team in this building during the early-action zone.

11.20    Morning sitting at 07.15

Breakfast prepared by the Beginners at 08.00 with several performances.

Comments, reports and observations invited on yesterday evening’s performance. This was the quietest of reporting meals, and one of the quietest meals.

Comment: a sense of being part of a small group playing, even though not playing.

Why Queen Vicious and not Queen Ferocious?

The Buzz Whizz: the affirmative role in it; the responsive mode of Buzz Whizzing; and the Doing Nothing role, perhaps equating to collective presence. Tom felt, for the first time, pulling the Whizz towards him, rather than sending it on its way. Tom also wanted to be the intersection of the dual Whizz, when it was moving in both directions.

12.59    A morning of personal meetings: adults with adult questions.

14.40    Lunch at 13.00 with several performances.

Frank is on at 15.00 with Into The Abyss Of Fun.

22.22    A meeting with the Seattle Circle Guitar School at 16.00 for 45 minutes.

Followed immediately by a personal meeting for 15 minutes. Then straight into a North American Federation Of Guitar Circles meeting for two hours.

Report: the playing of the NAFGC members yesterday was remarkable, hope for the future of The OCG.

The term Level One fits the Beginners Course. Also, it is as if the words Guitar Craft may also now be used again.

Guitar Craft focused on developing a personal discipline, using a guitar. This personal discipline was needed to work with others, in the Guitar Circle. Guitar Craft is nested within the Guitar Circle, which is nested within The Orchestra Of Crafty Guitarists.

To dinner at 19.00 and a quorum-meeting of the Sunday Morning Group at 19.30.

A wide-ranging discussion of the creative current acting within Sherborne House now moving out into the world, the forms it takes and are taking.

Then straight to the Final Meeting in the Conservatory at 21.00.

Any comments, however dopey, may be offered providing they are presented while beating four in one hand and five in the other.

The effects of talking.

Frank made a wonderful report on his week.

Many good and insightful comments. Thanks given to all those responsible for enabling the course/s to take place. Plans for future courses – Argentina in October, Europe in December, Mexico next January / February, The OCG here in one year’s time, were announced.

At 22’ 16” and 45 seconds we acknowledged our course completed. And then a De-fisting.

Practicalities Meeting at 22.25.

23.10 A good course.

23.34    Conversing and socializing in the dining room below; merchandising opportunities, too. A good, positive, spirit pervades the house.
