A delightful find.We hear Robert, recorded at his home in Hell's Kitchen, working through some intriguing melodic possibilities for the ballad that became Mary.

Another interesting tidbit that gives a glimpse at the early writing process of these now classic pieces of music.

I wonder if there are any of these that never went beyond this stage and were forgotten.

Wouldn’t it be interesting to hear how Robert would finish it some 30+ years later ?
